appendiabiti in ferro battuto e marmowrought-iron and marble coat hanger
Appendiabiti in acciaio, rame, ferro battuto e marmo nato da una riflessione sulla attuale situazione degli stati europei aderenti all’eurozona nella ricorrenza del decennale dell’ Euro.
Ho voluto raffigurare polemicamente e ironicamente i 17 stati dell’Eurozona con altrettante sfere di un marmo ciascuno proveniente dal paese che rappresenta. Le nazioni sono quindi letteralmente imprigionate nella morsa dell’euro: un mal comune dal quale, anche volendo, non possono uscire; infatti è solo restando uniti che potranno mantenere in piedi l’economia… e l’appendiabiti.

Coat rack realized in steel, copper, wrought-iron and marble. This project is a reflection on the current Eurozone countries’ situation in the year of Euro’s decennial.
I wanted to controversially and ironically represent the 17 states of the Eurozone with as many marble balls each made in stone coming from the country it represents. Nations are then literally trapped in the euro clutch: a shared problem by which, even if they would, they can’t get out, because it is only by being united that they can keep up the economy … and the coat hanger.
